V.     COURSE OBJECTIVES:

This course is designed to enable students to understand and work comfortably with:
            1. trigonometric functions,
            2. angles, radian measure, and circular functions,
            3. trigonometric identities,
            4. inverse trigonometric functions and trigonometric equations, and
            5. complex numbers and polar equations.

VI.   INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS AND ACTIVITIES:

Methods and activities for instruction include: lectures and problem solving; group discussions and group work;    homework assignments and solutions; graphing calculator exercises. Students are expected to use the facilities provided by the Teaching and Tutoring Center located in the Bell Library in room 216.
